10. Without a firm, flat, smooth runway, you just knew that the Antonov AN-225 was going to suffer some type of damage. That size and weight of airplane is NOT a grass plane but an asphalt plane. The work, time and money that went into making that model, it just makes you sick when it is damaged. I am just guessing but I would say that plane cost somewhere in the 65-to-70-thousand-dollar range. What I really think is it is more by at least another 20 thousand. Each of those jet engines probably run 4 or 5 thousand a piece, then all of the controls, electronics, body, and assorted hardware, etc.. that plane cost a lot of money and is certainly a rich boy`s toy.
