  1. I've been flying for over 30 years, and the one thing we used to encourage people to do is "Communicate", meaning "Call out what you're going to be doing" so that other pilots know if you're going to occupy a potentially risky airspace.  In this video there was no suck communications occurring.   There is no fault in this one, the 3-D flyer did not shout out his intentions to occupy the center field airspace, and the EDF flyer didn't call out his low pass over the runway.  That's my .02 cents.

  2. well midairs can happen…and usually there's nobody to blame. it's just part of the game…
but at an airshow? what are those airspace observers for?

  3. Just off g5.5 practaced from scratch 6 months, n can now fly some 3d! With my new edge 540 elec. Lmao! My youngest is now 9 & she can takeoff n land her trainer.. So! Most patern boys complain causr they cant pick it up! Mid airs happen, no matter where your @

  4. "The jet boy would be paying"…
Sorry, NO WAY! It's very clear the jet was in flight BEFORE, then as others have said, hovering should never be done over the main runway, unless you fly alone in a meeting/demonstration.

  5. Regardless of my perspective on 3D fliers….the Yak Pilot was the one in the wrong. I would love to see you try to make the jet pilot pay. You would be the joke of the day and trying to kick his ass would get you banned for life from the official model airfields in Germany (where this took place).

  6. If hovering in the flight pattern, then you are impeding other traffic attempting to follow the flight path. In our club if you are sharing the airspace, the upwind leg is flown close and downwind leg if flown farther out. If you want to hover with others in the air, then you do it in the space in between both legs. If you want to hot dog and run up and down the runway or hover over the runway, then you wait until you have the sky to yourself. Waiting is better than risking an airplane.
