Spw / Wingspan: 2.4m (96″)
Motor: Kingtech K60 Turboprop
Propeller: Engle 29×12 Super Silence

It started life as a comp-arf kit but was heavily modified by Pinnacle Aviation in the UK to accept the turbo prop and of course to have clipped wings.
The idea was to replicate a dream reno race aircraft with no limits. With this in mind. I was very lucky to have Mirco Pecorari join us and develop the very special color scheme.
RJ’s dream is what he called it and it was the idea that if RJ Mitchell could design the ultimate spitfire.

The full-scale prototype was reportedly raced at Reno in the mid-1960s

  1. Brilliant display flying as usual. Turbo prop model Spitfire- very impressive! Wish the RAF could provide a similar display with the Tucano. The Red Arrows are nearly 50 years old- time for a change?

  2. awesome model horst, deano and I watched this model being built by phil noel here in the uk, we were forbidden to take video or pics of it being built as it was alis top secret model and colour scheme at the time – lol, great video m8,

  3. While I was watching this vid, I was impressed by all aspects of this video. A beautiful aeroplane, exceptionally well flown, and great camera work. Then I saw Ali. Well, of course it was well flown. Thanks for posting, a real pleasure to watch.

  4. Wow, that is something else! Turboprop in a model – incredible, and fast too. Nice flying and very competent hesitation roll too. I have recently been watching some full size videos (cockpit view) of a TBM850 – wonderful plane, turboprop. 'Only' $3.5M !!
Brilliant footage Horst, with such a fast moving plane.

  5. Happy new year, Horst! Great video, that is a very impressive model, and an interesting concept of what could have been. Thank you, my friend!! Cheers, Dougal

  6. Having a 1:10 RC Spitfire I notice that there is great difference between batteries and piston engines. This model looks super fast and great fun to fly, while mine uses only 4 cell batteries which give you mediocre speed and some cool manouveres like vertical flight ascent is very difficult to do and stall during turns is always close. This model was so fast that in the turns it seemd pretty comfortable and stable.
    Super thanks for this video!
