When I was a kid in Queens, NY,, back in the late 60s and early 70s PanAm used to operate a few of these helis to ferry people between JFK and LGA. I would see them all the time. Then they stopped at some point in the mid 70s, and I haven't seen one since (outside of an airshow).
In any case, gorgeous models, expertly flown. Hats off!

Back in the day, there weren’t many R/C transmitter frequencies available. I think it was around a dozen. So when you got to the R/C field, there would be a bulletin board with a dozen tags, each of a different color.
You would locate your frequency tag, and then hold into it, so that no one else would start transmitting on the same frequency.
Nowadays the transmitters are more sophisticated, so I don’t know if they do that anymore.

Nice models, but they fly too fast to appear real. Try flying slower for real scale effect…
When I saw the thumbnail, I actually thought the Child could probably ride in that model.
