  1. Nothing against the 3D guys but I really enjoy the scale helis. At least you can enjoy the flight knowing where their going. Don’t get me wrong, I can loop, roll, fly inverted hover with my Trex 700, but my 59/year old brain, eyes and thumbs just are a bit slower than those guys flipping all over the place.

  2. I too have the same model. I couldn’t find the scale pilots to put in it, but I did find actuators to make the stabilator work. Some other scale details include; scaling up the Hellfires – I cut off the front tip and installed the seeker glass. I also made my LORAS spin using a bearing and some tedious Dremel work. Where did you find the pilots to install in yours? Did you use 10 inch figures?

  4. A truly amazing model which must have taken many hours to build, matched by skilled scale flying. Hats off to you sir ??

  5. These models are beautiful. What scale are they? Can you explain to me how scale size works with helicopters as its different from planes. For instance what is the equivalent of a 600 size or an 800 size scale? Is it 1/7, 1/6, or 1/5? Thanks!
