4. Mikes lips- Yes the pilot can eject from the F104. BUT, the reason an F104 is called the widow maker I’d the plane has a tendency to roll over in an emergency. Thus that is the reason for the pilot will/does eject from the belly of the aircraft, thus THE WIDOW MAKER. This is one of the first aircraft I worked on in the early 1960’s. Great plane to work on, but a killer for pilots, if you get my drift. Just a little info from an early Weapons Mechanic of the USAF. Fly-Fight-Win!

8. The amount of RC jet videos where they land on the asphalt when there’s perfectly nice grass to land in, after a flameout, is remarkable. It is excellent to see a judicious pilot finally land in the grass, less to no damage. Excellent flight and piloting, beautiful video!

16. Awesome save. The F-104 is one of the worst aircraft to have an engine out, there is reason its called the Widowmaker.
