Yes, hello and welcome to a new video from me. Today I have something really cool for you again: a small RC paraglider from Razer Donon. Of course it’s RTF again and has everything you need to fly it, and this time without any frills like cave sensors or GPS. You can see in this video whether this thing is any good or whether you’d rather make a rain gear out of the glider. I’d say we shouldn’t waste any time. Let’s get started right away. Let’s go. Yes, then let’s open the box. The paraglider is packaged very inconspicuously. First of all, we have a couple of air cushions for safe transport. Those are going away for now. First of all, we have the charger. In this case, an IMAX RCB3 Pro 2 to 3S LiPo charger with the two balance connectors here at the front and the power connection and, of course, a corresponding power cable. Unfortunately, there is no EU plug here, though. Then, thanks to RTF, we also have a 2.4 GHz remote control with us again. I’ll show you that in more detail in a moment, along with a matching neck strap. Let’s take the paraglider out of the box. Inside the paraglider bag is a bag with a few spare parts and a spare 3-blade propeller. Then, of course, we have the paraglider itself with all the attachment cords, and attached to this is the LiPo battery, a 3s 2200 mAh LiPo. And here in the yellow bag is the paragliding canopy. We’ll leave that in the bag for now, though. The paraglider frame is made entirely of 2 mm plastic panels that are bolted together in the middle and on the underside with a total of four metal struts . The two arms are also made of 2 mm plastic and are each screwed to a servo, which is used to steer the paraglider. The paraglider is powered by a brushless motor and a three-blade propeller at the rear. A protective ring surrounds the propeller to prevent it from touching the ground. The brushless controller and a Microone MC7RE 7-channel receiver are also installed on the inside. At the front, we have the battery holder with a lipstrap. The LiPo battery can be easily inserted, secured with the strap, and then connected to the XC connector. All the control cords and connecting lines for the wing are already correctly installed, so you don’t need to worry about them. The wing itself is a beautiful bright yellow, with a slightly contrasting exterior color, and the wingspan is approximately 1.50 m. We’ve also included a simple 2.4 GHz plastic remote control, this one in light gray. It even transmits using the SFHSS protocol. The control sticks are made entirely of plastic, and the joysticks are made of aluminum. The power button is in the middle. If we press it for a long time, the remote control turns on. Above it, we have a small attachment for a neck strap. And up here we have two small status LEDs. Down here we have a few more settings, for example, to reverse the channels. We don’t need to change anything here for the paraglider, or rather, you should leave everything as it is. Around the stick units, we also have the trim buttons for re-trimming the individual channels. Then we have a total of four switches here, although for the paraglider only the switch top left on the shoulder side has a function. This is a two-stage switch, and here we can set the servo travel to high or low. This means that if the switch is switched back, we have less steering effect when steering. And if the switch is switched up towards us, we have correspondingly more travel and can fly more powerfully around the curve . The other three switches, as already mentioned, have no function here. The 2.4 GHz antenna is also located on the top side . On the side, we have a DC connector, but it is not suitable for charging, but only for a simulator. On the back, we have We also have the battery compartment. Four AA batteries fit in here, or alternatively we can also connect a 2S Lipo battery here. Next to it we also have an audio jack and on the back we have a handle for holding the remote control. And on the floor we have two feet. We can then put the remote control down on these. No. B No. Please, please. Finally, of course, a short conclusion. The paraglider is a really nice, cool, fun model for nice after-work flights, but you can also fly real tricks and loops with it . You shouldn’t do it too low, though, like I did. Then it can quickly go wrong, but the basic frame of the paraglider is pretty stable and can withstand a lot. I even let it crash into the ground a couple of times when taking off. The propeller didn’t survive completely unscathed, but nothing on the frame broke. And if something does break, there are of course spare parts included in the set. You might need to practice taking it off a bit at first, making sure you release it gently and don’t just throw it away without the glider being properly inflated, but otherwise it’s actually pretty easy to take off once you’ve got the hang of it. You do have to be really careful with your fingers, though, so you don’t get caught in the rotating propeller. That could have really bad consequences. I think that’s the biggest disadvantage of the paraglider or rather the remote control, that there’s no motor cut-off switch. Even when the battery is plugged in, you have to be extremely careful not to accidentally switch on the motor if your fingers are in the protective ring. And of course, remember, if you ever want to change the propeller, it has a left-hand thread. So when you remove the nut, you have to turn it clockwise. The flight characteristics of this rather small paraglider are really good for its size. However, you do need to steer it a bit more precisely if you want a nice, smooth flight without too much wobbling. Nevertheless, you should set the control throws to level 2, because at level 1 it is already very sluggish. You can also increase the steering by not only moving the stick to the right or left, but also pulling it down a little at the same time. And to climb, you simply have to push the throttle forward, then the paraglider goes up. If you ease off the throttle or turn the motor off completely, the wing will naturally continue to glide and descend slowly. Just like a normal paraglider. You can also get really nice and smooth flights best when there is no wind, because in the wind it can sometimes dance back and forth rather unpleasantly, the same applies if you give it too much throttle or steer too harshly. That just doesn’t look so nice. All in all, though, it’s a really cool thing. It’s something different than a helicopter or a plane, and it’s really fun to fly. The nice thing is that we have an RTF set here . That means you don’t have to assemble anything or tie down the glider. Everything was already set up correctly from the factory. What’s also really good is that the transmitter starts beeping when the paraglider’s battery is running low. This means you’ll know in good time when you need to land and you can’t over- discharge the battery. I’d say that’s it for today. The link and discount code are, of course, in the video description again. You know, please give me a like if you liked the video. Let me know your opinion on the paragliders in the comments. Don’t forget to subscribe and click the bell, and then I’ll say thank you for watching and hopefully we’ll see you in the next video. See you then, Chrissi. Ciao.
