There are a great many comments regarding the canopy, most saying that it is too large for the scale. Although I don't claim to have the definitive answer, I do recall a discussion on this very subject in which it was stated that there was a variant of the F4U that actually had an enlarged canopy. I would love to see this matter illuminated further, as this is a beautiful model and I think that the folks building and flying them generally know their stuff.
Even if it turns out that it is too large, the sound of that Moki radial more than makes up for it!
This plane sounds so bad ass
This thing sounds so awesome sounds like one of the aerobatic planes like the extra 300 or Waco planes and the dhc1 super chipmunk
Hermoso sonido de motor! Excelente video! Gracias
Whistling death
F4U Corsair – the first WWII U.S. fighter to achieve 400 MPH in level flight! Problems with carrier landings led to it being replaced as the dominant carrier-based fighter by the Grumman F6F Hellcat. The Corsair's early deployment was to land-based squadrons of the U.S. Marine Corps in the Pacific. Corsairs were flown by the "Black Sheep" Squadron, led by Marine Major Gregory "Pappy" Boyington, in an area of the Solomon Islands called "The Slot"
Why are all these apparently German enthusiasts playing with American WWII era warplanes?
Wow what beauty. Anybody know the RADIAL ENGINE brand and size?
That whining sound as it flys past low is amazing.
How can we achieve that after noise ?
Is the prop? The exhaust style?
I would like my smaller single 85cc to corsair to achieve a similar whine as it passes.
Wish I had the place & money to build stuff like this. Nice!
3:34 ?
What are costs of building this particular Corsair. And what was used. Materials, engine and all. Very interested in building one..
Love the sound of radial engine
Who has the plans for this Corsair.
Be careful about over banking your Corsair. I saw you get very close to knife edge 90 degrees twice in that flight. That's a sure fire way to go home with a large bag of splinters. Use your rudder more to avoid the need for extreme banking in your turns. I am a licensed pilot with hundreds of hours flying vintage tailwheel aircraft so I know what I am talking about. Amazing! The thrill must be undescribable after investing so much time and money in that Corsair. I love these Moki radial engines!! I flew R/C back in the late 1970s when it seemed our Aeromasters were a huge investment. What fun we had too! Happy flying and I hope your model Corsair gives you many years of joy. I don't think I have what it takes to own and fly such a grand model airplane!
Where did u get your rc at
Impressive but the size of the canopy ruins everything
Alguien podría decirme la velocidad que alcanza este hermoso avión!
Absolutely amazing….
Ergasmic sound….No joke
Sounds fantastic.
Outstanding!
When I was young I worked for an older fellow who flew Corsairs during the Second World War. Deaf as a stone, but the stories he had were amazing. Beautiful aircraft.
I don't know what the engine costs, but it made the plane. There is nothing worse than a nice model with single cylinder engine. I'm old, and that's probably the best sounding piston fighter I've heard. Good job.
2 minuets of this is enough, the rest is just boring.
Do they use these machines to replicate war movies?
Awesome aircraft, from hobbiest,rc pilot, kabbalahist, John Robert Bruffett Junior USA American ??????????????
Very nice very cool plane
That is the reason why you dont fly electric models the sound of it was amazing sounded so real great flight
Hi there !! Who made this conception, kit ?
The F4U was the worst Navy plane ever landed on a carrier. Overhyped and underperforming. The Grumman F6F was FAR better a carrier based fighter. The F6F created 305 aces.
???
What’s wrong with the canopy
