An electro powered 1/4.3 scaled P-51 air racer with counter-rotating Propellers and a 1/3.2 scaled Gee Bee R2 flying a nice Display.
The Gee Bee is CARF kit of 1/3,2 scale with 2,37m wingspan
Powered by Hacker Brushless
The pilot is Robin Tramp
The Red Baron is a modified P-51 Mustang by CARF 1/4.3 scale
The kit has been converted by me to the Air Race Mustang Red Baron. The model now has a wingspan of 2.3m. The drive is in opposite directions, with 2 propellers of Menz in size 22×12 and are powered by 2 Hacker Motors Type Q80. The power supply batteries are 12 S 15000 Ahm. The take-off weight is 23 kg. The original was flown by Steve Hilton and has thus established the speed record 08.14.1979 with 800 km / h in Nevada. On 09.16.1979, the aircraft was destroyed during an emergency landing, he finished the race in spite of the forced landing still on the 2nd place.

Der Bausatz wurde von mir zu der Air Race Mustang Red Baron umgebaut. Das Modell hat nun eine Spannweite von 2,3m. Der Antrieb ist gegenläufig, mit 2 Propeller von Menz in der Größe 22×12 und werden von 2 Hacker Motoren Typ Q80 angetrieben. Die Stromversorgung sind Akkus 12 S mit 15000 Ahm. Das Abfluggewicht liegt bei 23 kg. Das Original wurde von Steve Hilton geflogen und hat damit 14.8.1979 den Geschwindigkeits Rekord mit 800km/h in Nevada aufgestellt. An 16.9.1979 wurde das Flugzeug bei einer Notlandung zerstört, er beendete das Rennen trotz der Notlandung noch auf Platz 2 .

Wie stellt man den Motorsturz ein mit einem gegenläufigen Propeller? oder hebt der sich dann auf und zieht nicht mehr zur Seite?

Two beautiful, well flown models. That was probably the best Gee Bee R2 flight I've ever seen, awesome! Sorry about the ending and I hope there isn't much damage. The pilot rocks! And even though electric powered, the contra-drive on the P-51 made it sound very "interesting" Thumbs up for a great video!

Zwei schöne Flugzeuge. Leider fehlt (für mich) der "Brennkraft ??" Motorrgerâusch.
Trotzdem hoffe ich es war nicht zu viel Schaden am Landen.
Und denk Kamera Akkus zum Laden, es ist leer ;-))

Nice flying P-51 – beaut fast plane – does tho sound a bit less 'vibrant' than our favorite Ghost!
Always chuckle watching a Gee-Bee … never looks as though it should ever fly with such a short tail moment! – this one performed very well… and, knife edge – amazing. Bit of ''oops' landing but looked OK and safe.
I like the paint scheme of the P51. It is like the Red F1 Marlboro Ferrari.
The P-51 has quite an unusual sound-track! 🙂

I didn't pick up that the P51 had the counter-rotating props until it landed. Very cool! It's hard to believe the Gee Bee pilot had a bad landing after all that impressive flying! Great video as always Horst~~!!
