Rc Corsair – Maiden
Beschreibung zum Video:
Maiden flight and first attempt to fly a warbird by my friend Simon.
Up to this day, Simon was flying only smaller planes, such as Funjet or Toledo Special from Hangar 9. The setup of the Corsair was done in cooperation with Tom, and, as you can see, it worked fine. After the 5th flight, Simon was able manage the whole thing by himself. It was also planned to get him into to fly the Spitfire, but there was some issues with the carburator and the landing gear, which we couldn’t fix in time.

Great job guys,, I am just beginning to put mine together with the G-62 for power.. How do you like the Bravarian Demon gyro? And how much authority did you allow it to have?
Pretty darned good!! Landings got better and better. Super video Horst. 🙂
I never got larger than my 1/4 scale Ryan STA (with Seito 120) but remember fist flight after only 60 size planes – and that would have been easier to fly than a Corsair.
Using a gyro? What happened to flying it yourself? I use gyro on long range camera planes. I guess on a warbird it is a learning tool?
Plus whatever on lengthening the tail strut, also pls shorten those muffler fangs!Other than those nits, nice plane and respect to the pilot for stepping up and soloing with it.
Bonjour Horst,
This is a nice tribute to your friend Simon, who managed to tame this aircraft.
Also the camerawork Thumb Up
Regards, Christian.
very good
such a cool trip guys love rc planes keep on having airtime tiptop jungsundmädels☺
great vid
Great maiden, she really looks locked in. I have to ask, did you both fly in from Germany just to fly the Corsair?
totally awesome flight and footage. thanks for sharing!
Awesome model man! Great flights too, that engine is a beast for the model, and the gyro makes it look real, super stable. Congratulations and enjoy!
nice maiden , congrats.
The DLE0 screams on this frame! well done!
what brand is the plane, hangar 9?
it's noisy
are they useing a buddy box system
Great vid, as usual. I think it would be safe to say that this Corsair is/was a keeper. If this is her maiden flight, love to see what she can do all broken in one year from now.. Good pilots and great flying. Kudos to them for "sticking" the landings, so beautiful.
Very nice job! I am building the TF Corsair as well, did you have to add weight to the nose with your setup? If so, how much?
Dude. What a sweet plane…!!! Great Flying. Thumbs Way Up..!!
Great job, amazing plane and fantastic airfield. Congrats, i remembered my first solo after pc simulation on a Hangar 9 Alpha 40. It´s amazing the joy in your face the first time you can fly for your on.
I would have loved to seen your beautiful Corsair with a Big 4 blade prop and the MOKI 400 engine …..maybe next time
Great Video. Good Camera work. Ive been thinking about a corsair, now I know I want one!
Hello! Nice plane and nice flyghts!
It is only 19 lbs??
Great job flying man!!! Thoroughly impressive! What brand ARF is that?
Wow! Realy nice!
Im going to build a TopFlite Giant Corsair soon and this is just amazing to watch! Congratulations!
now Im going to see it again.
Do you guys normally fly over the pit and parking area?
Good job on the flying, but that was some excellent video footage.
beautiful takeoffs and landings. a unfinished flight. wonderful video
Those shots with the setting sun were spectacular, that film footage could be used in a WW2 film. The DLE 60 twin sounds great, I wonder if it would fit in the cowl of a 60cc P-47?
Looks like a black sheep… Sounds like a pissed off weed eater !!!!!!
In desperate need of three bladed prop to make the sound more authentic. Love those RCScaleAeroplanes.
Nobody knows the stress the instructor never shows
Nice plane and great flight! I'm so glad I dont have to depend on those trays to fly my planes!
