2x controller yge320hv on 16s SLS 5100 speed

Servos: aileron 2x KST X10 / elevator KST A15 1810 powered by 2S LiPo
The model is designed for speeds in excess of 300 mph. The speed on the first flight was almost 250mph (still flown throttled).
The wing, elevator and rudder are from the HJK Big Monster and have been reinforced with double CFRP
The fuselage is a “Flögel-own construction”

das ist komplett positiv bekoppt…year..
bei der Landung hab ich die Luft angehalten, glaub das war schon im Abriss drin. cool sowas hinzubekommen, echt verrückt.

But an RC sailplane without motors has flown 564 mph in dynamic soaring and makes that thing look slow.
Dynamic soaring gliders fly over twice that speed…. with no motor.
Mann, ich bekomme schon Puls vom Zusehen. Wie muss sich das erst anfühlen wenn man an den Knüppeln ist und den Erstflug macht. Toll!

That is an AWESOME airplane!!!! It is a 10 in every category The design, the build, the designer/builder is an awesome pilot, and the camera man kept it all in frame at insane speeds…..Well Done!

First time I said wow was when I started counting the batteries, 2nd wow came when I spotted the rear motor! Incredible bird!
Although it is cool, I've seen the Big Monster from HJK Speedwings do over 300mph and that's single engine, so gotta wonder what the point of 2 engines is for something like this besides the 'cool factor'.

Das ist schon irre, auf was für Ideen so manch Modellbauer kommt … 112 m/sec "no room for error" (man sollte immer einen Spaten dabeihaben) Für den Start das Bungee, für die Landung vlt ein Fangnetz? … reine "Segler" sind im übrigen schneller > 500 mph im DS. Wozu also 2 Motoren? … naja wohl weil es Spaß macht und Weldon (CA) nicht vor der Haustür liegt. Nebenbei bemerkt: das "Ding" scheint auch ohne Fangnetz ganz handzahm landen zu können. Well done

You can always tell they have have any skill with flying gliders when they have a metal catapult launch instead of just a bungee Could easily be handloached from the tail…… On second thought if there is not any wind and if it's really really heavy maybe you need to launch real
What type of servo are you using for this plane( Name of the brand and its torque)?
Bei der Kraft die die Motoren haben wundert es mich das man den Flieger abschießen muss.
Könnte man nicht dafür eine einfachere Rampe bauen. ?
Ich stelle mir zwei Bretter vor die wie eine Schiene parallel stehen.
Auf der einen Seite sind sie am Boden, auf der anderen Seite auf ca. 1,5m angehoben.
Der Flieger liegt mit den Tragflächen auf den Brettern.
Könnte das nicht auch funktionieren ?

Da jetzt noch eine FPV Kamera rein und in Ego Perspektive fliegen 🙂 könnte auch Spaß machen.

Captions would have been great so we can understand what all the guys were saying. I'm sure some of it was beeeep material, it was for me watching.
On take off you had everyone jump, even us here in the land of watching. Holy Moly that puppy is fast. Im amazed at the strength of the wings. That camera work was as outstanding as the pilot flying this aerial torpedo. Unreal show folks, thanks for giving us a nail biting show.

What a masterful plane with a push-pull configuration and what a great pilot. Perfect landing, perfect power management on final. It is just hard to follow with the speed it shoots into the sky – like a bullet.
