  1. I remember one based at my local airport in New Zealand during the 1980s. I had many walk arounds when I was a kid, fascinating little aircraft. Used to watch it aerial topdressing spreading superphosphate fertilser, so as lucky to see one up close and also watch in action. I wish I had taken some photos! There were a fair few of them in New Zealand during the 70s and 80s, but by the end of the 80s, they were all gone. Most were either written off or exported back to Australia.

  2. The "Mango" is one of THE BEST agriculture planes ever made. It works flawlessly and is super responsive and easy to fly. It may look weird but it is a "great" plane.

  3. we had the occasional Ceres Super spreader, but the AirTruk did most of our crop sraying. Uncle (prof.photgrapher) once organised a flight over our farm, for a 'lollie drop' – he sat down inside the hopper compartment, and took shots of us kids, via the access Port. Some asian countries had them Imported for their military!

  4. That is the most wonderful little weirdo airplane I've ever seen! Delightful. Plus – that close-in shot as the little weirdo plane was setting up for landing? Over to top cool. Very very nice camera (and microphone) work. Thank you! 🙂

  5. OMG! What a cool looking airplane! I have never seen one of these before, very interesting. Would love to see one the full-size aircraft one day. Great model, and a great video, thanks for posting, Horst!!

  6. Komisches Ding.. sieht wie die einmotorige Version der "Cri Cri" aus, ist aber schön anzusehen. sowas sieht man nicht alle Tage..

  7. Now that was different. It looked like it came from the Incredibles movie or Snoopy's garage. Throw in a loop or an Endelman and then we're talking. It was a smooth flying plane and the pilot did a great greasing on landing. Thanks for sharing that uhhhh ……plane.

  8. Unique is the word I seem to think of. Another great flight and it sure does look amazing for a build from a bunch of parts he received. Well done thanks for sharing

  9. That's a bit different! Twin booms too. Seems to fly pretty well but it'll never win a beauty contest 🙂
    Very smooth landing.

  10. Just when you think you've seen it all! I can't even remember the last time I saw the real version fly. Frank did a great job flying the truck. Great going Horst!

  11. … Es ist das Geräusch des kleinen Motors der Vespa von 1955 … Rotation um das Kolosseum in Roma … !!! Dieser kleine Vogel ist wie eine Wespe …. Bzzzz..Bzzz. !!

  12. Beautiful airplane. Haven't seen one of these on the RC circuit that I can recall. Congrats to the owner and builder on a fantastic reproduction. Really good catch.
