The helicopter was manufactured in 1977 as the AH-1S. Then on April 9, 1984, it was converted by the manufacturer to the TAH-1S dual control training version. After its demilitarization in 1995 and inclusion in the civil register, it is referred to as TAH-1P. It is one of eleven released for civilian use in the world.
