our sea jets seem to be getting bigger and bigger every day today’s model however is going the other way but don’t let its small size put you off after all it does still have a fully fledged kerosene burning miniature jet engine powering it through the skies specifically it’s running a jet cap Pete when t sx which has some mind-blowing specs the most impressive of which is probably the maximum rpm 245,000 the cost of the turbine itself is not too dissimilar to most jet engines out there the benefits of this one though is everything else that then houses it the whole model is made out of foam so compared to most jet motors which cost thousands of dollars and to which you add a few thousands more for retracts servos and other electronics the whole cost of a model like this one without counting the turbine is just a couple of plungers ready to run anyway enough about the specs how does a foam turbine model fly let’s go check it out [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] and there we have it she flies great not to mention that our precious turbine with it being located in the tail it means that the whole fuselage acts as a funky zone so it’s going to be about as safe as it can be anyway who wants to go again I do [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] I’m Martin Pickering and I really hope you’ve enjoyed this video make sure to come back every Tuesday for a new episode of cool tech tips and tutorials and on Sundays for flying videos and event coverage or hit that subscribe button and the bell that’s next to it in order to receive a reminder when the next video is uploaded thanks for watching and I’ll see you all in the next one you

  1. I still worry about long term strength of foam. Do the wings one day just break off to fatigue? Then, you have a fireball!!!

  2. Good video! Because of the videos you make I also started a channel about aviation, it would be nice if you want to subscribe
