“Hi Markus,
The aircraft is all built up construction. Mainly balsa with some ply ribs and formers. Spruce spars.
Retracts are home made and work on air. To go up and down. Cowls are epoxy glass again all made at home.
Servos are all futaba. Most are the 1/4 scale size. The radio used is Jeti.
Covering is diatex 1000. This is aircraft covering used on vintage gliders. All doped on. It’s the primed and detail it added then the colour is sprayed on. 2k car paint mixed to the correct colour PRU blue which is a British standard colour number.
The model is modelled on a British built mosquito that was shipped to Australia. And it still survives just and is being restored to museum standard.
Model is 1/4 scale, engine are valach 120cc inline two cylinder. Exhausts are home made. Both cylinders go into one box to make a smooth sound.
Landing lights are 12 volts and are from ceiling down lights in a house. Like you see often in a kitchen.
Also the aircraft has breaks. They are air. Not strong but good enough for the job.
There is a throttle mix with the rudder to help on take off to help the swing on take off.
Wingspan. 4.1 m length 3.1 m and weight is 43 kg.
