welcome dear friends of the free Glide league and to all pilots who are keenly interested in learning more about the free light leak it’s three finger rules and it’s overall mission first and foremost I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the 100 participants in the flat land category and 44 participants in the slope category the vibrant exchange among pilots in the bus with between the clubs and the associations this year have been incredible and it’s truly remarkable that we already have 144 Pary participants from 14 Nations and the community continues to grow let me introduce me I’m Stefan a I feel deeply honored that so many have responded to the call to fly in the free gr league in this year and we started at the first of January 2024 and uh the idea came in the last summer and I have personally founded a complete programming and implementation of RC model spot out of my pocket without any expectations of the future compensations so it’s absolutely free and my goal was to create a free and widely accessible platform for pure online comparative flying in model gliding for everyone in the International Community and everybody knows me that I am flying uh seven or eight or some more more years in the GPS triangle and with experience um of this um very ruled um and not uh on uh online compet competition um I I start the idea to make a a platform only for the comparative flying of model gliders for everyone and it’s not neat um to have the finest glider but it’s good if you have okay today today inspired by the suggestion from Jeffrey from Pennsylvania on Facebook USA I have decided to provide an English language overview of the rules I’m delighted to fulfill this request and will briefly explain how easy it is to participate in the free Glide League let’s start to begin with it’s important to note that the free Glide di is completely free for anyone who wishes to join all you need is to have an access uh on RC model spot here on this I I do my access here so this is my flight book uh where I’m flown and here you can upload the EC file uh and it’s evated after that so let us try to begin from the beginning um all you need is to is a lock file the EGC format from approved loggers this includes devices from RC Electronics uh such the eagle series like like these ones uh have a look on it is here on RC electronic Au you go to model spot and you find here the new Eagle it’s used for the smartphones and for uh the IOS as well other Apple products um to um to bring it with out directly to the RC model spot the other uh the others like the Raven 2 like the old Raven uh snip um IG files Albatross IG files Swift works as well directly but the um the model the logo from GPS logo 3 or two working as well but you have to go into the setup and um in the setup you have to um say start um start the igc file after um 20 km uh speed increase over 20 km and and the end is landing um and the EGC file must be the the hook um that is written um in this setup that’s all for for the GPS logger so I prefer to these products they’re working fine as well and the price is a little bit lower uh in the charge Pro of the eagle chw the new one um understanding the rules the start rules are straightforward and can be found as a PDF in German French and English on the website it’s easy to go to this point um if you are in the rankings of the free League you know that list here there’s a little button called info and it’s changed to score and you find a little bit about the uh um preg guide League a little overview um in English German and fr French and if you go to this link button the PDF is uh loaded with the roots here here’s the overview and you see it’s it’s very easy here’s the here’s the German and the English and the French rules so [Music] um okay let’s talk about creating a valid task so how do you create a valid task it’s very easy um you have a starting window and you have a detecting the start and you have you have a motor restrictions okay if your start your start wiing with vertical window from 5 m to 400 m above the ground level AGL and all the classes starting in in this vertical window and detecting the start the flight starts when the lock file records a consistent altitude loss over 10 second period there should be no altitude again again during the time but yes you have to lose high on on this uh on the 10 seconds and the essentially the automatic script needs to recognize a clear altitude decrease from uh 10 seconds and the motor the enl must be low so the um script recognize there is a start in the in gliding in that window below 400 m for the slope over 5 m and uh you stting the slope 10 m and you go to four uh five six M um down and you lost four M on 10 um on 10 seconds and so without enl high so without motor only and gliding so you can start and and um I my starting um um procedure is I go up with my glider to 420 M and then I Glide around to um and I know where the thermal is now uh in the air and I go out of the THL and fly in the uh sinking area going down and I fly 10 15 16 17 seconds in the sinking area and first I’m looking I’m down to 400 m on my um on my on my height uh level and then I’m going I I’m counting until 10 12 and I see okay now I starting on 300 90 M and um there was no upleveling there in the vario and I lost 20 M and then I have higher speed than before so after 10 17 second I go up with the uh with the high speed and in back in the thermal and you get your start and somebody’s are working on the on measure method on um for yet I saw it in our Facebook and in the um how you call it the WhatsApp group um and you can create it by your own but it’s easy to make it manual as well please Ure that the enl sensor is placed in the quiet area of the Fus lash away from noisy zos or leaky canopies um so the um the sound must be down attempts dampen sensor with form or similar materials will be detected by the software and could inval your flight that’s is the problem some some person gets an very loud glider and um the first flights you have to check it uh in the um before you make long flights and check it in the um huh in the lock book um here if the ANL is high uh or too high uh you will um get an invalid flight and um have a look where’s the best position of the uh sensor easy going you can check it there uh in the um in the lock book and so wingspan so if you go higher than 750 m AGL as overground level um so the flight is disqualified um in practice I make some alarms sound alarms in my core are flying with the core and you can do it with the other JT uh hot and so and you can do it by yourself if you came if I came to 600 M the first alarm goes up and they said high altitude and the second alarm is on 650 M and if I get to 700 uh met above ground level the system is shaking and make alarm so if you go only 1 cm over this um 750 m only for one time your flight is disqualified please do don’t do that and 750 m it’s a high level and I only fly on 650 maximum it’s enough it’s very good um so next thing let’s talk about the scoring in time ulations if you’re flying here for example um with one flight you can fly in more than one of time evolation the time evolation is from zero to 30 minutes after 30 minutes to 1 hour after 1 hour to 2 hours after 2 hours to 3 hours and after 3 hours over 3 hours you are the 3 hour plus um evaluation and um so you see you can fly with one fly two and a half hours and you are in the 30 minutes in the 1 hour and in 2hour um um section of the time evolation that’s easy isn’t it so uh with one flight you can uh score in this uh in much more than one um evaluation um you are the um you are the overall um the best and the club class the best five in the club class are counted and standard class you counted and open class as well but if you’re um you if you are the want to be a winner you can fly in the time evoltion I told you with three three classes maximum five flights in the 30 many 30 minutes time evolation you get the winner and you can be winner here in the one hour class and winner in the 2hour class in the three-hour class in the three and a half hour class so you can fly uh what you specialize uh in I think I’m good in 30 minutes so go for it and um I’m good in 1 hour flights okay go for it and I’m very good in 2hour flights and you see in the one hour 30 minute flight there are 100 per participants flying um 76 in the 1 hour uh 37 in the 2H hour and goes up to the 3H hour plus only seven this is this is incredible so if you want to fly short and quick go for it and if you want to fly long ranges do it it’s your turn uh to fly that and get scores on the flat rate flat land and slow as well so um you’re welcome you’re welcome if you have questions come to me I’m the person uh who get the short way to under freter and um if the ideas are good um for the um for for the evaluations or if you have any ideas uh not for the rules hopefully not for the rules but they’re working very well there only the three three fingers rules so it’s easy it’s not so overloaded with rules uh it’s you can fly with everything you get you can fly with everything you want to fly in the Glide it must be a glider or electric Rider with uh in gliding Motors um the the the it’s counted and you you see it here you you can choose between flat and slope and slope is if if you can fly slope on low uh low Flats um if you’re flying in an area where you can fly with slope as well go to slope and uh if you have a flat land uh you can’t fly in slope so go to flat land um I know there a gray scale um uh between um some hilly areas but if if you’re fair you know what you mean uh what you have to do we check it after um the best one flights are checked after in the end of the year where they uh count where they are flown if somebody flown slope but it’s flat land you you see it on the paragraph but um we we will check it so everybody is uh clear and fair in front and um this is one of the key keys of our community to apply it you see the club class at least um is from zero to five to 4,000 mm and the standard class is from 4,01 mm to 6,000 mm and the open class begins at 6,1 mm um so it’s clear you’re flying in three classes and here are the rules uh for the starting motor of starting higher than 5 m must be uh and um 400 below 400 m with a uh with a lost uh of High uh over 10 seconds and the enl must be um must be low the motor is off and if you’re flying inside the flight Counts from 5 kilomet and if you’re flying five kilometers in the uh 30 minutes CL evaluation uh time evolation so it’s counted and uh the Finish is by landing and if you finish the flight um in the in the one hour to one hour or you Ling 40 45 minutes and you start the motor you fell down to the 30 minutes um and um you’re not in the one hour uh inside same on the others um if you’re flying 2 hours uh 30 and you switch on the motor so you fell down to the 1 hour and the 30 minutes so that’s is the thing you know uh and you must know and that’s all and if you want to um have a look uh about the um monthly um interim scoring go to RC mop pilot.com you go to mop.com and go to competition free League you see here um the um you can you can um translate it if you want to English as to English Okay accept it you get the everything here in English this is a flat L and overall leads in slope and flatland and here’s the sport report about the last month and flatland Club class uh slope club club class as well uh so the a little report about the uh last month what is changes below um the content um of the time evoltion and here are the awards uh which coming up at the end of the year um for the winners and these are 20 um 20 Awards um which going out International to the international persons and here are the rules how it count um to the best um to the ru these are the rules uh for the AAR right over there so I hope um with my broken English uh that you get a little um you see that here Stefan Z the get a little uh circle colored circle like here uh yeah as well you only go to this point and say donate and donate him because I so I paid for the free gr League it’s free for everybody the script is done it’s implementated there but he will have it on his server he is looking that somebody gets uh must have support uh technical support he going to script it more and more for the better evaluations um phical uh a visual um what you call it a visual evaluations uh system and he he will manage it and then will increase the um uh increase it all the time for better using and so donate him and he will be lucky and do everything for us and you see the the loggers um from from model these products are going down in the price um there was much higher and the beginning of the year but he get new Eagle as well and it’s a um lowbudget sensor with high with Hightech inside and it’s very very good um and he needs the money to uh keep it um going uh for us and if you if you give him a tip yearly a tip and donate him I think it’s the best way to have this fun in this um uh to keep it running the system and um you know what I mean no so I
