Isn’t the bird an Alouette II? It has short skids and a two bladed tail rotor. Nevertheless, the machine is fantastic and turbine powered like the full scale one. Fantastic control and smooth flying with a right on landing. That’s how helicopters supposed to fly and scale like. There was a Vietnam veteran pilot I used to know. He was at my local flying field, and he was observing 3D helicopter flying. He looked at me and said that kind of flying doesn’t impress him. It is the smooth scale like maneuvers of normal flying of RC helicopters. He would really appreciate the flying of this machine on this YouTube video. Keep up the scale flying skills.
I'd rather watch a scale machine well flown like this all day long over the totally insane, screaming fast aerobitic routines. I do Absolutely have Total respect for the ability to do it and it really bends my brain a bit, but this. Just so smooth, more Real in every way and relaxing to watch. But, I also respect the skill this takes as well. Choppers are different beasts. Beautiful flying presented.
