Since 1989, the Frauenfeld model flight club has been organizing the annual classic car meeting on the Allmend in Frauenfeld. Replicas of powered aircraft up to and including the year of the event minus 30 years are permitted, whereby the engine must correspond to the original. Hence the name oldtimer meeting.

The competition takes place on Saturday and Sunday morning, and the show flying takes place on Sunday afternoon. The following 3 categories are flown.
