Dont want to be rude, but the FACT that you can buy it,DONT MEAN THAT YOU CAN FLY IT!
Two FLIGHTS, TWO LANDINGS and the both were almost the same situation/pilot error.
Sadly this was a CRASH WAITING TO HAPPEN!
SORRY MY FRIEND, HOPE CAN FIX THE MODEL….and for SURE, NEED MORE PRACTICE ON THE LANDING/APROACH TECHNIC!
Pilot needs to learn a lot more, before flying a high performance craft. If the plane was not in balance to begin with, why did he fly it? Sad!
I would end it also if I was an edf ! Turbine time
sad but one could tell from his previous poor landings, all could have been avoided but then who is to blame and what he has learnt from it is more important
Ya you have to have a little alpha on those landing….got keep that nose up and touch down on the mains first!!!!! other wise you get the uncontrolled BUNNY HOPTY HOP
And that’s exactly what happens when you fly nose heavy Rc jets the elevators are not able to control the flare and smooth landing.
Sorry about that. Beautiful plane. Hope it's repairable!
Most suspensions are too stiff and bounce. A better landing is key, but a softer suspensions will tolerate such landing without problems. Imagine a carrier landing with such suspension. Also seems that a too forward cg and run out of elevator authority. Long comme t it will be easier to just hate like others.
Inexperienced novice pilot attempting to fly something waaaaaay above his skill level. As others have mentioned, "pilot with a big wallet but no experience in flying." And I take offense at anyone here mentioning "so many keyboard pilots."
Gee, I thought our comments were meant to help, not put down our fellow RCers wherever they may live. I've only been in this hobby for four decades and watching this video clearly shows lack of basics in controlling ones aircraft. Rolls are not axial (he loses altitude), he does not know or was never instructed on the correct procedures in bounced landings, his use of rudder is non-existent (watch the last landing), we don't know if he's EVER experienced slow flight at minimum controllable airspeed, or taken this plane up to altitude and PRACTICED accelerated stalls, steep turns, slow flight both clean and dirty, and on and on.
None of the above to belittle this man! Only to point out that he's in over his head with a beautiful aircraft with an outcome that was obvious. As a longtime flight instructor, I constantly harp on the basics and tell students that anyone can throw an airplane around the sky. It takes PRACTICE to fly proficiently and smoothly and to demand of yourself to make every flight BETTER than the last one. Strive for perfection with every flight.
P.I.O.
What a shame
Lovely plane, good pilot,
But its always a small error that gets us RC pilots!
Two weeks ago i was over the field flying my 750mm zero,
freezing cold! only guy in the field,
i was crusing about having fun, and a servo packed up!
it banked over came down straight at me, i ducked but it hit me in the head!
lucky it was cold and i had a thick hat on!
Ha ha! this is the hobby! i love it!!!!!!!!!!
Landing way too fast, typical rookie mistake
Who lotta airplane. Looks like it might not have been to much of a ding. And it did seem like it was nose heavy. And it seemed a little hot coming in, and not // to the runway. But I wasn't there.
You need to take landing lessons. You need to learn how to flare on the main gear not land nose first. Big time pilot error
Another person that should not be flying. Doesn't know how to land. It's not the plane it's the pilot!
Would like to have seen the extent of damage…Shouldn't have been too bad as most of the speed has washed off.
Oh man so many keyboard pilots
Hope it's repairable! Here's a guess: the pilot held pitch steady on touchdown, as the plane slowed down (after first touchdown) the nose heavy condition made the nose drop, resulting in a touch-down on the nose wheel which created a pitch oscillation, non-recoverable. IMO, it wasn't so much bad piloting as a bad set-up. Nose-heavy believers should watch this video! Of course, a gyro would have saved the builder from repairs as the model had plenty of airspeed so when the gyro saw an uncommanded pitch up, it would have corrected, stuck it to the ground. Most guys flying performance jets have made this mistake, know I did. After I moved CG back and added gyro no more repairs have been needed – knock on something!
Thenks
my 2cents. as others have said, these were two poorly executed landings. maybe this pilot now Recognizes the large GAP in his piloting skills. googletranslate
bouncey bounce, just like the Apprentice
Clueless pilot with a big wallet but no experience in flying
Beautiful plane but the pilot made the same mistake twice, Very sad………..
It looks like he was using the open windscreen/windshield for extra air intake. There is no way those two scale intakes would let in enough air to cool the ESC & battery and feed the fan unit.
Did not flare and landed on front wheel causing her to bounce. Crazy thing is he done it first flight and got lucky but then proceeded to do the exact same thing second flight. Maybe a bit nose heavy and ran out of elevator at the flare?.
What a bad pilot. The skill is good for an Easy Glider but not for more.
perfect Crash without Canopy
When you initiate landing flare you pull the elevator to reduce descent rate, depending on the effectiveness of the elevator to adjust idling of throttle. Don't let go of the elevator, you should continue to hold up the elevator, until the main wheel touch down. and keep it there then the nose wheel will come down naturally.
Never try to push the plane (front not wheel/nose) to the ground! A very gross and stupid mistake.
