i had planned to simply drop this video inside of another video but after testing and finding out just how good and how handy this thing is i knew it was time for a new episode of cool tech so roll tape [Music] today we’re looking at the secure mini electric soldering iron but before you switch videos let me just say this thing is brilliant i didn’t expect to get excited about a soldering iron but it’s small it runs from basically any kind of lipo and it’s fast very fast that makes it great for around the workshop but absolutely ideal to keep in your flight box for those little emergencies so how does it actually work well mine is the sq001 in black and you can choose from an array of tips depending on your chosen use case i went with the most general use tip the ts b2 and yeah the product is great but the naming system is absolutely terrible anyway the tip attaches to the body with a couple of screws and to get it working we just connect any battery that we have with us connection is via the provided cable which comes with a standard xt60 connector and the whole system runs from a 3s 4s 5s or 6s lipo so we really can use any pack we have within reach so if that’s at the flying field that could be say from our fuel cam from our fpv glasses racing drone foamy whatever even without going for the higher end packs this thing is ready to use in no time once we connect to battery just wake it up by pressing the a button and even with just a small 3s lipo we’re ready to rock and roll in under 35 seconds that’s faster than my previous 220 volt workbench soldering iron it also drops to less than 15 seconds if using a 5s and that’s not even on the full 6s as i don’t have one of those batteries to test it with you can even adjust the output temperature just hold down the b button for a second and then increase or decrease to your chosen temperature using the a and b buttons once you’re done just press both a and b buttons together and it reverts back to that sleep mode or well you know just unplug it surprisingly it doesn’t even seem to kill the battery even after repeated tests with this 3s 1300 milliamp pack it barely even dropped a few percentage points you can also connect it to your pc to fine-tune a load of parameters but to me this feels like overkill as it already works perfectly right out of the box i know this one’s going to be living in my flight box what do you think what do you never leave for the field without let me know and make sure to check out the link below if you want to add the secure mini electric soldering iron to your toolbox or anything else from their collection for that matter like say this really cool handy stand you
